The working principle and application of low voltage reactive power compensation assemblies were introduced. A new dynamic response test method was given, and compared with the old method. With regard to the problems in new method, the corresponding methods were proposed. Some matters which should be taken notice of were summarized. The feasibility and validity of the new method were proved.
