The talented German writer Patrik Stiskind tells us a quirky story in his work Perfume that brought him lame. A genius Grenouille, who has a special taste on fragrance, makes a murder on 26 young ladies and mixes their own body flavors to make a unique perfume. This paper makes a probe on the abundant connotation of ＂ flavor＂, follows the clue of ＂ the loss of human nature--the chase of human nature--the introspection of human nature＂, and analyzes the writer ＂s connotative view on human nature and desire.
