Analysis and Research on the Current Situation of College English Translation Teaching

影响大学英语教学的因素有对翻译教学的认识存在误区、教师的教学方法不当和英语教材中系统的翻译知识缺乏等。改进翻译教学可从以下方面着手:教师提高自身翻译素养,讲授基本翻译理论知识;巧妙利用现有教材,恰当选取课外翻译材料;合理组织课堂教学,调动学生学习热情。

Integrated English ability includes abilities in listening,speaking,reading,writing and translating,meanwhile,translating ability reflects abilities on the other four aspects.Translation teaching plays an important part in college English teaching.However,the current situation of translation teaching is worrisome.It is analyzed and researched from the concept of translation teaching,teacher＇s teaching method and college English textbook.Finally,several suggestions on improving the current situation of translation teaching are proposed from the aspect of teacher＇s effort.
