This paper studies the following initial boundary value problem for a class of fourth order nonlinear dispersive-dissipative wave equations The existence and uniqueness of the global strong solution for the problem are proved by means of the Galerkin method. The asymptotic behavior and 'blow up' Phenomenon of the solution for the problem are investigated under certain conditions.
