On the Value of Yang Huan’s Proses

杨奂是金元时期著名的文学家和史学家,其散文有较高的历史文献价值。其墓表、碑祭文、传记的文献价值不言而喻,像《跋赵太常拟试赋稿后》《与姚公茂书》之类的序跋与书信,都有证史之实、补史之阙、校正古籍等作用;《汴故宫记》是今天汴京考古和遗址保护的重要研究资料;《东游记》有助于了解元初鲁地古迹的情况;《臂僮记》不仅可补中国科学技术史之阙,而且有助于考证杨奂作品的存佚情况。

Yang Huan was a famous writer and historian during Jin and Yuan Dynasties. There is much value of his- torical documents in his proses. The historical value of his epitaphs and mouring papers is not to talk, even the post- scripts and letters such as The Postscript of Zhao Taichang＇s Simulation Fu and The Letter to Yao Gongmao, also has effects such as proving and supplementing history, and textual criticism. The Note of Imperial Palace in Bian is the very important information for Bianjing＇s archaeology and protection of site. The Note of Traveling to the East is help- ful for understanding the historic sites of Lu in Yuan Dynasty. The Note of Arm Servant is not only suppling the omis- sion of Chinese Science and technology history, but also contributing to investigating Yang Huan＇s works.
