新批评抑或解释学:宇文所安的《文心雕龙》研究方法问题

New Criticism or Hermeneutics:the Methods of Stephen Owen’s Translation and Research on Wenxin Diaolong

国内学术界惯于将宇文所安的《文心雕龙》研究方法称为新批评方法,这一指称有其合理性。但就宇氏对《文心雕龙》文本的总体性翻译释读与研究方法而论,它应归于文学解释学而非新批评。新批评方法只是其具体分析工具,文学解释学才是其真正的研究方法论。宇文所安对文学解释学方法论征用的意义在于,它使《文心雕龙》在一种效果历史的辨证结构中走上了再经典化的道路,从而为探索一种世界性的文学理论提供了可能。

It is a reasonable declaration that the research of Stephen Owen on Wenxin Diaolong was the new criti- cism method by domestic academia. In fact, it mainly attributed to the literary hermeneutics approach rather than new criticism approach in terms of Owen＇ s overall translation and interpretation methods. New criticism is merely Owen＇ s analytical tool, the literary hermeneutics is the true methodology of study. The significance of the Owen＇ s hermeneutic methodology lies in it making the Wenxin Diaolong step into a re - classic road in the effective history and dialectical structure, which provides the possibility to explore a world of literary theory.
