摘要 只有中国(内地)的钱来了,国际公司才会来。”站在香港太古广场港丽酒店露台,李小加随意指了下远方。 Charles Li(Li Xiaojia) is the first HKEx(Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited) chief executive, who comes from China's Mainland. This 'first' has been both an honor and a challenge as the three and a half years since his appointment have been an incredibly frustrating time for Hong Kong. The long term economic downturn has left the hard-working and law-abiding people of Hong Kong at a loss, while also robbing the HKEx of some of its luster.Compared to Li,the previous two chief executives,Kwong Ki-Chi(Kuang Qizhi) and Paul Chow(Zhou Wenyao),seemed to have been blessed with a plethora of luck. Figuring out how to connect Hong Kong and mainland has been part of Li's strategy from the beginning.Throughout his time as chief executive, all of the core policies he has implemented have been closely tied to the mainland.Meanwhile, the numerous Chinese-funded enterprises that have been heading to Hong Kong for an IPO have provided an endless stream of resources for the HKEx. However, what Li is looking to do now is turn Hong Kong from being mainland enterprises' 'first choice for an IPO' to become their 'first choice for investment'.
