摘要 The universe is boundless; the galaxy, immense. The earth, on which we humans dwell and propagate, perpetually rotates. Yet mankind learned little about his planet or environment despite several millenniums of study. Relatively little, that is, until the comparatively recent acceleration in technology and science. Consequently, geoscientific research must be given preeminence and the resulting data must be exchanged and promulgated. The universe is boundless; the galaxy, immense.
