In the1980s, Pang Zhuang-guo, a poet, created and published a lot of poems on northern history and culture. Taken by a double vision, namely, from the perspective of both people and nature, these poems excavated, examined and confirmed the northern history and culture, formed their own distinctive characteristic within emotional and philosophical thinking, and fulfilled a diversified reconstruction of the culture and history of the north with profound modern awareness
