高级英语语篇中的很多词汇具有隐喻性。隐喻超越了修辞层面和词汇层面,具有促进语篇建构、衔接和连贯的作用。主观性越强的语篇越能体现隐喻的语篇组织功能。

This paper discusses metaphor cognition in Advanced English by comparing and analyzing Ad- vanced English discourses of different styles. On one hand, a lot of vocabulary used in Advanced English are metaphorical ; on the other hand, the use of metaphors is not confined to vocabulary and rhetorical devices, it also contributes to discourse construction, cohesion and coherence. The more subjective the discourses are, the more functional the metaphors are in organizing discourses.
