Luo Ronghuan and the Founding of the People's Army

罗荣桓对人民军队早期建设的历史贡献,一是以基层党代表的模范行动,践行"支部建在连上"的建军原则;二是创造性地实行基层民主制度,确立红军新型的官兵关系;三是积累丰富的部队实践经验,为"古田会议决议"的形成贡献才智;四是坚持以"古田会议决议"为指导,为建设新型人民军队作出独特贡献。罗荣桓能够作出如此贡献的原因:一是他有坚定正确的政治方向;二是他为人厚道老实,有宽广的海量胸怀;三是他的文化程度比较高,较早地接受了马克思主义的熏陶,使他能从社会发展的大历史观视角看待问题。

Luo Ronghuan's historical contributions to the early construction of the people's army is em bodied in the following fields:1) practicing the principle of ' setting the Party branch on a company basis ' with the Party representatives ’ exemplary action;2) establishing new type of relations between officers and men of the Red Army and carrying out the democratic system;3) accumulating practical experience and con tributing resource for the formation of the Gutian Conference Resolution;4) making a unique contribution to the construction of the new people's army with ' Gutian Conference Resolution ' as guidance.Luo Ronghuan was able to make such contributions due to his firm and correct political orientation;his kindness honesty and open-mindedness;his good education and his willingness to accept the bourgeois democratic ideology and,above all,Marxism.
