Problems Facing Art Teaching at Colleges and Solutions: A Case Study of Art as a Public Elective Course

在视觉文化越来越发达的今天,提高大学生的美术修养显得愈发重要,最合适的途径之一是加强美术公共选修课程的建设和改革。高校可以利用自身的资源优势,改革传统的授课方式和考核方式,整合教师资源,设置合理的课程群,将教学内容多元化、模块化;有效利用信息时代多媒体、网络,开发地方美术资源;同时,充分发挥学校相关职能部门的功能,强化学生社区的宣传作用,形成教育的合力,以激发学生的学习兴趣,达到最优的教学效果,实现培养全面发展人才的目标。

These days, as visual culture is becoming increasingly advanced, it is extremely urgent to improve college students in terms of art accomplishment. One of the most rational approaches is to strengthen the efforts of constructing and reforming art courses as public elective courses. Colleges, consequently, should make use of their resources, reform traditional teaching modes and evaluation modes, integrate teaching resources, design scientific courses and make teaching diversified and modular- ized. Besides, efforts should be made to use multimedia and networks and explore local art resources. Furthermore, relevant departments at colleges and student communities should join their efforts to arouse students＇ interest in this course, aimed at optimal teaching effects and nurturing all-round talents.
