A Study on Memory Error in Consecutive Interpreting

摘要记忆错误是影响口译效果的重要原因之一。本文借助认知心理学"错误记忆"的研究范式,探讨交替传译过程中错误记忆现象的类型、分布和心理机制。对比实证研究结果显示:(1)不同类型的错误记忆改善效果呈现分化;(2)替代错误无明显改善,雷达图显示其前后测在语篇位置上呈现完全不同的散射分布;(3)替代错误的形成因素很可能来自发音抑制效应下的"心理填补"机制,且存在遗漏错误分流到其中的可能性。 Memory error has considerable influence on the quality of interpreting. This paper analyzes types, distribution and mechanism of memory error in consecutive interpreting in view of ＂ memory error＂ paradigm in cognitive psychology. A contrast experiment shows that：（ 1 ） Different types of memory errors decrease to varied extents; （2） Replacement （R） error does not decrease significantly, and its radar chart shows different distributions within the text; （3） R error probably results from the ＂ pattern-completion mechanism＂ caused by Artieulatory Suppression （AS） , and Omission （O） error may also divert to the course of R error formation.
