The ten new railway projects started in 1999 are expounded in terms of their alignment, technical standards and investment estimates. The projects include the Qinhuangdao - Shenyang Dedicated Passenger Line, the double tracking of the Heze -Yanzhou-Shijiusuo Line, capacity expansion for the Xiangfan - Daxian section of the Xiangfan -Chongqing Railway, electrification of the railway between Waiyang Station and Fuzhou East Station, electrification of the railway between Zhanyi Station and Shuibai Station, electrification of the Neijiang - Yibin Railway, capacity expansion for the Xining - Golmu Railway, the double tracking of Litang - Nanning section of Zhuzhou - Liuzhou Railway, the double tracking of the Baoji - Lanzhou Railway and the Xil-inhot - Sanggin Dalai Railway.
