A Technique of Displaying Character Rapidly on Screen

本文分析了视频内存(VRAM)和字符显示原理,提出了一种快速字符显示方法,即用三个指针管理VRAM,直接对VRAM进行写操作。这种方法不仅使显示速度成倍提高,而且使屏幕显示质量达到最佳效果。

This paper briefly analyses video RAM structure and the principle of character display, points out why the speed of display is not high with traditional methods. A new method which displays character very rapidly is presented. It uses three pointers to manage VRAM, thus, character is written to VRAM directly. The method not only enable displaying speed to increase many times, but also enable screen display quality to be optimized.
