关于《西游记》中《圣教序》校勘的几点看法——兼和封其灿先生商榷

Emendation of "The Order" in A Journey to The West: A Discussion with Mr.Feng Qican

在阐述《西游记》版本校勘意义的基础上,对封其灿先生的《〈圣教序〉在〈西游记〉中错误百出》一文提出了商榷,认为从指导思想上明确小说不是史料,校勘应遵从版本,比勘其文字、篇籍的异同,纠正讹误,力求接近真相是校勘的基本态度。在此基础上,针对封文指出的《西游记》中所引用的《圣教序》的"错误"进行了探讨。

Based on an elaboration on the significance of the emendation of different versions of A Journey to the West, we put forward our viewpoints that are different from Mr. Feng Qican, who wrote the paper ＂Mistakes in ＇The Order＇ in A Journey to the West. ＂ We hold that since a novel is no historical record, what an emendator should do is but go deep into the difference of versions, find the similarities and differ- ences, and correct the mistakes therein. On such a basis, we expound on the so-called ＂mistakes＂ that the novelist has made in quoting ＂The Order＂.
