赫索格是美国著名犹太作家索尔.贝娄创造的一个典型人物,《赫索格》集中反映了当今世界的疯狂和美国资产阶级知识分子的困惑与迷惘。从后现代主义哲学思想出发,通过对社会价值观异化、主流社群边缘化、"书信"式的无病呻吟、畸形社会交往等方面的阐述,拷问了资产阶级知识分子的劣根性。

Herzog is a typical person created by the famous American Jewish writer S. Bellow in his Herzog, which reveals the confusion and puzzlement of the American bourgeois intellectuals and the mad- ness of the world. This paper analyzes the deep-rooted bad habits of bourgeois intellectuals from the aspect of postmodernist philosophy. It covers the alienation of social values, the marginatization of the main community, the sentimental twaddle in the form of letters and the abnormality of social interaction.
