The Relationship between College Students' Personality Traits and Mental Health

目的:通过了解大学生人格特征与心理健康状况,为内蒙古高校进一步开展大学生心理健康教育提供有力依据。方法:采用症状自评量表(SCL-90)和艾森克人格问卷(EPQ)对内蒙古医科大学、内蒙古师范大学和内蒙古农业大学300名在校学生的人格特征与心理健康状况进行调查并作相关分析。结果:样本高校大学生SCL-90各因子得分均高于国内常模,差异达显著水平;SCL-90总分与人格维度当中的内外向、掩饰程度均呈负相关,与神经质呈正相关,其中与神经质维度关系最为密切(r=0.587);人格特征对心理健康有预测作用。结论:大学生心理健康状况令人担忧,人格特点与心理健康状况具有相关性。

Objective： To provide forceful evidence for the further mental health education of college students in Inner Mongolia through a survey about students＇ personality and mental health.Methods： Use SCL-90 and EPQ to make a survey and analysis about the personality and mental health of 300 university students in Inner Mongolia Medical University,Inner Mongolia Normal University and Inner Mongolia Agricultural University.Results： The results show that marks of students in sample universities on each factor of SCL-90 are higher than national norms,and the difference is evident;the total score of SCL-90 manifests negative correlation with personality dimensions of introversion,extroversion,and deception level but positive correlation with neuroticism,especially closely correlated with neurotic dimension（r=0.587）;personality traits have predicting effect on mental health.Conclusion： The mental health of college students are worrying and their personality traits and mental health are correlated.
