Aging is a major trend of China＇s society in the next few decades. Being the organizations of the popular cultural life of the public, all libraries are faced with challenges caused by aging problems. How to meet the cultural needs of the senior citizens will be a focus of the library services in the days to come. The paper makes an analysis of the characteristics of the older readers, their spiritual and cultural needs, and expounds the problems of how to transform the service concept of librarians to cope effectively with the growing aging trend.
