In the Village of Lepu(Lhatse County of Shigatse Prefecture),it is a commonplace to have a big family due to an old custom that brothers all marry the same woman,which has been prevalent from ancient times to the present. On July 13th,2012,guided by my interpreter,I called on the Gyasin’s family.The Gyasin has many children so a total of 16 people are registered in the Book of Permanent Residence at that address.On that day,it happened that one of Gyasin’s granddaughters,who had been married outside the village,came back to see her grandfather
