A Comparison between Western Development and Southeast Openness

西部经济的腾飞着重于开发 ,东南沿海经济的起步则着重于开放。西部开发是在我国已经确立改革的目标是建立社会主义市场经济体制条件下进行的 ,东南沿海经济的开放则是对建设有中国特色的社会主义的探索。

The econimic development in the western areas of china lays emphasis on “exploitation”, while that of southeast economy stresses “openness”. The former is a progress under the condition that the goal of reform has been made to establish socialist market economy and the later an exploration of establishing socialism with Chinese characteristics.
