Analysis of Investment Risk in Oil-Gas Exploration in the Union of Myanmar

油气勘探本身充满风险,而投资国外油气勘探要考虑的因素比国内要多得多,国外区块一般都存在较高的运输成本和与国外公司或政府分成等问题,即便获得油气突破,但从经济上分析也可能不具有进入工业开发的经济价值,缅甸A区块目前属于我国在国外油气勘探效果较好的投资项目,但即便这样的项目也难以确定是否进入下步开发阶段,因此投资国外区块油气勘探前期评价尤为重要。

Oil--gas exploration itself is full of risk. More is needed considering when the investment is made in oversea oil--gas exploration than when in domestic exploration. Because in the foreign blocks there are problems of higher transportation cost and profit distribution with foreign company or government, there is likely to be no economic value worthy of industrial development even if breakthrough is made in oil--gas exploration. Although the invest- ment project in Block A of Myanmar achieves better result than Chinas other foreign investments in oil--gas exploration, it is difficult to determine if it is necessary to go along with next stage of development. Therefore, it is important to make an early assessment on the risk before going abroad for oil--gas exploration.
