美国作家威廉.福克纳的短篇小说堪称为"约克纳帕塌法"世系的重要组成部分。对南方社会的复杂情感使得福克纳文学创作表现出复杂性特点,通过对其重要短篇小说《山上的胜利》、《烧马棚》、《莱巴嫩的玫瑰花》以及《献给爱米丽的一朵玫瑰花》的文本细读,使得生存于斯的南方人在纷繁复杂的世界中试图超越的呐喊声声声入耳、行动力赫然呈现。
William Faulkner＇s most valuable short stories have become an essential part of his Yoknapatawpha. His mood toward the South makes his work puzzling and complicated. Through the detailed analysis of Mountain Victory, Barn burning, Lebanon＇s Rose and A Rose for Emily, one can see the southerners＇ bursting and acting tor transcendence.
