General Catalogues of Imperial Collection of Four not only made unprecedented achievements in bibliography, but also in the criticism of Ci-and-Qu. The General Catalogues broadened the approach and horizon in the criticism of Ci-and-Qu by the use of origin criticism, comparative criticism. Generally, the criticism of Ci-and-Qu in the General Catalogues produced more advantages than its disadvantages and hence it occupied an important position in the criticism of popular literature represented by Ci-and-Qu.
