基于单双向结合运动估计的帧率提升算法

摘要 运动估计是基于运动补偿帧率提升技术的关键环节之一,其准确性将直接影响新生成视频帧的图像质量。论文提出了一种单向与双向相结合的运动估计算法,通过在传统双向运动估计算法的基础上增加前向运动估计与后向运动估计环节,显著提高了运动估计的准确性。同时,采用中值滤波对运动向量进行平滑以及基于重叠块的运动补偿插帧算法生成新的视频帧。实验结果表明,通过论文提出的运动估计算法生成的视频帧主观视觉质量与客观评价质量均有显著提升。 Motion estimation is one of the most decisive procedures of motion compensated frame rate up-conversion(FRUC) algorithm Its accuracy could directly affect the quality of interpolated frames. In this paper, an unidirectional-bidirectional-combined motion estimation algorithm is presented. The accuracy of motion estimation could be improved by introducing unidirectional motion estimation to the traditional bidirectional motion estimation. In addition, median filter is applied in this paper to smooth the motion vector field and overlapped block based motion compensation(OBMC) is applied to generate new frames. The test results indicate that the proposed motion estimation method could enhance the quality of interpolated frames both objectively and subiectivelv.
