宋本《玉篇》义符“水”的表意功能类型

On the Ideographical Types of the Meaning Symbol of‘ Water’Radical in the Song Dynasty Edition of Yu Pian( 玉篇)

宋本《玉篇》中共收字22803字,其中水部共收956字,在全书542部中仅次于艸部(1054字),占全书的4%。根据水部字的字意与"水"的性质、特征、状态、功能及相关关系,可将义符"水"表意功能类型归纳成表相属类、表相似类、表相依类和表相关类四个大类,在每个大类中又可划出若干小的类别,且对各类字都加以统计便能深入分析"水"的表意功能。

There are altogether 22803 characters embodied in the Song Dynasty edition of Yu Pian （玉篇） , of which 956 are connected with the ＇water＇ radical, occupying 4% of all the radicals in the whole book. According to the nature, characteristic, state, function, and correlation of these ＇ water＇ radical - based Chinese characters, this paper attempts to summarize the ideographical types of the ＇ water＇ radical - derived characters into representa- tive congener, representative resemblance, representative dependence, and representative correlation types, each type consisting of a number of subtypes for statistical convenience.
