豫南民间舞蹈源远流长,展现原汁原味的豫南地区民情风俗,是特定历史下形成的独特文化,它作为探讨豫南民间文化艺术的一个重要窗口,有着极其重要的地位。如今,随着现代社会经济的飞速发展,传统的豫南民间舞蹈艺术不断受到现代多元文化的强烈冲击,面临生存的困境。因此,进行豫南民间传统舞蹈文化文本和口述相关资料的收集、整理,并进一步探讨豫南民间舞蹈的传承策略是十分必要的。

Folk dance in south Henan Province, as a distinctive art form and with a time -honored history, has been playing an important role in showcasing the unique customs and living conditions of local people as well as in providing a window for studying local arts and cultural traditions. Amid the rapid economic development of our mod- ern society, folk dance as a traditional art form is being pounded against by modern multicuhural entities, with some folk dance genres in south Henan even facing the plight of survival. Therefore, it is of great necessity to mus- ter and arrange all relevant materials and date related to folk dance, either written or oral, and to further explore better ways of inheriting and developing folk dance heritages in south Henan.
