哈佛大学是世界最著名的私立大学,它的办学历史书写了私立教育的辉煌,成为高校学习、借鉴和不断研究的对象。中国民办高校也期望从哈佛的足迹中寻找答案。本文对哈佛的办学理念、教育思想、课程改革、经费筹措、学术交流等方面进行分析,旨在提出指导我国民办高校改革发展的新思路、新举措。

The University of Harvard is the world ~ best private higher learning institution. Its history has marked the splendor of private education. Private sectors of higher learning around the world are always tak- ing Harvard as a fine model and a research subject. There are strong hopes in tracing Harvard for better de- velopment among Chinese civil - funded higher learning institutions. This paper has analyzed the education- al aspects of concept, ideas, reforms, fund management and academic exchanges in the University of Har- vard, in a point of raising new thoughts and measures for a better development and reform of civil funded higher education in China.
