新建本科院校大学英语教学困境与对策探析

A Discussion of the Trouble and Countermeasures in College English Teaching in Newly-established Four-year-program Colleges

新建本科院校是我国高等教育大众化和跨越式发展的产物。但是,作为一种新生事物,新建本科院校从诞生之日起就面临着十分复杂的发展环境,其发展面临着许多困难和问题。新建本科院校的大学英语教学更是如此,在教材、教法、教师、学生和课程体系等方面都存在着许多问题。只有客观了解现状,及时发现和诊断问题,从教材、教法、师资队伍建设、课程体系建设和校园文化建设等方面深化改革、不断探索,才能从根本上解决现有问题,提高学生的语言应用能力,实现大学英语教学目标,提高教学质量和育人水平。

Newly-established four-year-program colleges are the product of the popularization and leap forward development of higher education in China.However,being a new thing,they are confronted with a complicated environment and a number of difficulties and problems in their development.So is the college English teaching in newly-established four-year-program colleges,with the problems ranging from teaching material,teaching approaches to curriculum.To deal with the current problems and get out of the trouble,these colleges have to objectively learn the current situation of their college English teaching,find out and diagnose the relative problems by deepening the reform in the different aspects.This will definitely help to develop students＇ language skills,accomplish the goals of college English teaching and improve education quality.
