At the end of 2012, the cloud storage service giants such as Google, Amazon and Microsoft slashed their price greatly one after another, which caused widespread attention and produced a series of influence on market. For now, cloud computing has not become the core business of the three big giants, neither it will not become profitable in quite a long period of time. As of today, none of the'big three'has provided detail report to show whether the cloud computing platform can realize a profit. It can be expected that the they will not necessarily make profit norm as its cloud computing business unit’s key performance indicators (KPI). To win the competition, they are in need of sufficient funds. Therefore, in order to increase the customer base and expand market share, they may push down the price of cloud storage further, and carry out long time competition around price. Although customers could gain some benefits from it, other independent cloud service providers are forced to deal with the challenge. China’s domestic market is unavoidable to be stirred by the price storm, where price war is estimated to start in year 2013.
