Through the design and construction of supporting engineering in the deep foundation pit of Xinghai Building in Suzhou Industrial Garden, the paper gives an extensive explanation of design and operation of soil nailing supportings in the deep foundation pits. Compared with the artificial cutting hole pile, piles in pre bored holes and soil nailing walls, the final technical scheme was determined as the supporting of soil nailing wall in accordance with technical, economic and time limit for a project. The soil nailing walls scheme is characteristic of low cost, rapid construction speed, reliable technical operation and good safety. Also, the supportings have small deformation structure.
