摘要
提出了一种用于图像压缩和图像增强的新方法,该方法将彩色图像分解为3部分,然后选用某种类型的小波对每一部分进行分解。其中,高频分量分别使用了YUV、YIQ和CIEXYZ彩色空间进行映射。鉴于映射后的分量以及低频分量均由红色、绿色和蓝色分量构成,因而使用这3种颜色对压缩后的图像进行重构。处理结果显示,在彩色图像的比特率不同时,3种色彩空间表现出不同的性能。其中使用CIEXYZ色彩空间进行的压缩在信噪比(SNR)和压缩比率方面的表现最好。
A new method for color image compression and enhancement is presented in this paper. The method decomposes the color image into three components. The high frequency components are mapped using the color space YUV, YIQ or CIEXYZ. The mapped components with the low frequency component constitute the red, green and blue components. The compressed image is reconstructed from the three colors. The results show that the color space CIEXYZ has the highest performance for SNR and the highest compression ratio while the three color spaces have different performance for bit rate depending on the details of the color image.
