摘要
评价理论是在对人际意义的研究中发展起来的新词汇语法框架,它关注语篇中可以协商的各种态度。以该理论为框架,从语言学的角度对赛珍珠为其父亲写的传记《战斗的天使》中的话语态度意义加以分析,阐释作者对传教士父亲形象的认识过程,解析她所流露出的对父亲的情感和态度变化,可以帮助读者欣赏这部作品的语言魅力。
The Appraisal Theory is a new lexical frame in the study of interpersonal meaning developed from the systemic functional linguistics.It focuses on different kinds of attitudes in discourse.Based on this theory,this paper makes a linguistic analysis of the meaning of the attitude of Pearl S.Buck The Fighting Angel,a biography for her farther.It elaborates the process about her understanding of the image of her farther,and analyzes the transformation of her emotion and attitude permeated in her words depicting her father,thus helping the readers enjoy the artistic charm of the language.
