Lumbar spondylolisthesis is a common syndrome in orthopaedics in recent years, with the emergence of new concepts and techniques of surgical treatment, the therapies are gradually diversifying and mainly include conservative treatment and surgical treatment. The principle of surgical treatment includes decompression,reduction,internal fixation and fusion, and internal fixation is a useful assistant method for fusion. The selection of different methods is still a matter of debate. Here is to make a review on multiple indications, advantages, disadvantages and clinical follow-up result of surgical treatment for lumbar spondylolisthesis, exploring different therapeutic method and summarizing new technology concepts, such as dynamic stabilization systems, minimally invasive surgery and so on.
