Objectives To analyze the clinical efficacy of superficial temporal 'artery implantation jointed meningeal reversal therapy for treatment of moyamoya disease. Methods Confirmed by digital subtraction angiography (DSA), 16 moyamoya disease patients were operated by the method of superficial temporal artery implanted jointed meningeal reverse and analyzed retrospectively. Results 16 patients were followed up for 6-18 months. There was no recurrence of cerebral ischemia or cerebral hemorrhage, no new cerebral infarction and clinical symptoms improved after surgery. Through DSA, the blood supply has improved significantly in skull base vascular network with collateral blood vessel formation. Conclusion The superficial temporal artery implantation combined with meningeal reverse is a choice for treatment of moyamoya disease.
