党的十八大是在全面建设小康社会关键时期召开的一次十分重要的大会。胡锦涛同志在大会上所作的报告，把教育放在改善民生和加强社会建设之首，提出要“努力办好人民满意的教育”，为未来我国教育事业的改革发展指明了方向。必须认真学习报告精神，把握教育改革和发展的方向；深刻领会报告精神，明确教育改革和发展的任务；全面贯彻报告精神，努力推进教育改革和发展。

The 18th CPC National Congress, held during the key period of building a well-off society in an all - round way, is a very significant conference. During the conference, the speech made by President Hu points out that education must come first when we try to improve the people＇ s livelihood and reinforce the social construction. The conception that our education should at utmost satisfy the people was also proposed during the conference. And at the same time, it also points out the direction of China＇ s future education development and reform. We must se- riously study and comprehend the spirit of the CPC National Congress, grasping the direction of the education re- form and development. What＇ s more, we should also make the task of education reform and development clear. And we should comprehensively implement the spirit of the report, trying to promote educational reform and devel- opment.
