As an outstanding thinker, literateur and reformer in Chinese modern history, Tan Si-tong made great achivement in poetry. His poetries have the following characteristics： excited and indignant in passion, vigorous in style, rich in words and imagination, which inherits and develops the romantic tradition since the famous poet Gong zi-zhen.
