功能翻译理论视角下中文歌曲的英译

The English Translation of Chinese Songs from the Perspective of Functional Translation Theory

通过对英汉歌词翻译的理论研究,即翻译研究中的功能派翻译理论,为英汉歌词翻译寻求一个较为系统的理论框架。指出在以目的和忠诚的原则下,歌词的翻译可采取增译和转译等手法使得翻译行为更灵活、更有目的性,同时也使译文更准确、更忠实于原著。

Through a study of translation theories for translating a Chinese song into English, i.e. the functional translation theory, this paper aims to seek a more systematic theoretical framework for translating Chinese songs and points out that, under the principle of purpose and loyalty, lyrics translation can take such techniques as amplification and indirect translation, so as to make translation actions more agile and purposeful, and translation texts more accurate and faithful to the original text.
