平凡的人生,不屈的抗争——析海明威式和路遥式硬汉风格

Ordinary Life with Unyielding Spirit: A Study on Tough Guys Created by Hemingway and Lu Yao

20世纪中美伟大作家海明威和路遥都在作品中塑造了一系列的硬汉形象,这两种硬汉风格既相似又相异。一方面他们都出身平凡,都是各自所处社会历史转型期的探索者,都有着悲剧的命运和不屈不挠的抗争精神;另一方面,受不同社会经济、文化背景和其他一些因素的影响,他们在文化心理、硬汉品质的形成和归宿上又有着极大的不同。同中存异,这两种硬汉之间有着明显的可比性,在他们身上反映着两位作者在各自历史背景下对人类生存意义的思考和探索。

As great writers of the 20th century, both Hemingway and Lu Yao created series of ＂Tough Guys＂ in their works respectively. And there is apparent comparability between them. On the one hand, they share some similar elements, such as social status, tragic fate, unyielding spirit, and more importantly, they are all explorers in a chaotic world. On the other hand, influenced by different social-economic and cultural background as well as some other factors, they are different tough guys in culture, formation and destiny. Despite the differences, creation of these tough guys shows the two writers＇ common consideration and reflection on the signification of human existence during the historic period of social transition.
