以“目的论”看电视栏目的翻译——由一则宣传片栏目翻译说起 被引量:1

摘要 "目的论"认为:译文的得体性应根据翻译目的确定,而不是原文的对等。中文电视栏目有较强的"雅化"和"辞格化"倾向,无法用英语再现。"目的论"观照下的电视栏目翻译是让受众了解栏目的主题,而不是语言审美,因此需要改变翻译思维。对一则宣传片栏目翻译进行说明和分析,以此贯通汉语栏目的特点,并对照英语栏目的语言特点,就当今电视栏目翻译中存在的问题进行探讨,认为翻译应该把汉语的"雅化"和"辞格化"向英语的"平实"和"质朴"转变。 Skopostheorie holds that, instead of the equivalence between the source text and the target text, the adequacy of translation is decided by the purpose the translated text is intended for. Chinese TV titles are endowed with abundant use of rhetoric devices which cannot be read- ily delivered to English. Therefore, based on Skopostheorie, translators have to change for the function of translation in which the audience of the target language should be informed of the theme rather than pleased with the language form. By relating the experience in translating the titles of a tourism video, the paper, based on the characteristics of Chinese and English TV ti- tles, reveals some faults in the TV title translation, maintaining that the figurative and elegant use in the Chinese TV titles should change for the informative and plain style in the English translation.
