The selection of the pre-tightening and anti-loosing methods and the correct control of the pre-tightening force and torque during the installation and maintenance of hydro-turbine generating unit are quite important for ensuring safe and stable op- eration of the equipment. The conventional bolting methods and the relevant working principles for the installation of hydro-tur- bine generating unit are described herein, and then the bolting pre-tightening force and torque, the calculation of elongation value and the checking method are analyzed as well; which have certain guiding significances for both the installation and the mainte- nance of hydro-turbine generating unit concerned.
