The paper introduces problems in the use of the freight measurement equipment in Hohhot Railway Administration,analyses the main causes resulting in frequent measurement equipment failures and to-be-repaired status,proposes countermeasures to resolve equipment failures including rules and regulations construction, equipment management,operation management,equipment calibration, comprehensive maintenance of rail lines and the personnel training. The author also analyzes the effects of the countermeasures.
