The content,format and development status of US high production volume（HPV） chemical database and the procedure for priority chemical screening using the database are introduced.The HPV chemical database consists of chemical data,chemical hazard characteristic description,risk-based prioritization,information about the parties of data subsidization,submission and test,and can be retrieved with substance name and chemical abstracts service（CAS） registration number.With the HPV chemical data,the priority chemicals can be screened by the three-grade screening procedure of automatic classification,hazard characteristics description and risk-based prioritization.
