论鲁迅对中国古典悲剧的批判

Discussion of Lu Xun's Criticism on Chinese Classical Tragedy

鲁迅从批判国民性出发,对中国古典悲剧进行了猛烈的批判,总体上对之持否定态度。学界一般认为鲁迅的这种批判过于偏激、片面,往往无助于对中国古典悲剧理论的建构,具有很大的负面性。这种看法过于简单。事实上,透过鲁迅的这种批判,论人们能更清晰地认识中国古典悲剧的本质,其批判的美学意义和价值不能忽视。

Starting with criticizing the Chinese people＇s character, Lu Xun fiercely criticized Chinese classical tragedy, and in general, held a negative view against it. Lu Xun＇s criticism is generally considered by the literature circle to be too extreme to help establishing Chinese classical tragedy theory. It is our view that the opinion of aca- demic circle is too simple. With the criticism of Lu Xun, in fact, we are more aware of the essence of Chinese classi- cal tragedy, whose aesthetic significance and value should not be ignored.
