行业英语教材的编写是高职公共英语改革的重要内容。通过对纺织行业英语教材的现状和现实需求进行分析,阐述了教材编写的必要性,并就教材的定位、编写团队以及内容的选取方面探讨了教材的编写思路,以期对其他行业英语教材的编写带来启示。

Textbook development of English for Occupational Purpose is one of the important parts of public English reform in higher vocational colleges.This paper states the necessity of textbook development of Textile English by analyzing the current situation of textile English textbook and actual demand for more useful ones.It also probes into how to develop textile English textbook in terms of textbook positioning,compiling team and selection of teaching resources,aiming at becoming a significant module for the development of English textbooks for other different occupational purposes.
