社会文化心理视角下的英汉医学术语比较

A Contrast Stuay between English and Chinese Medical Terms from a Socio-Cultural Mentality Perspective

从文化渊源、文化借用和文化心理等3个方面探讨英汉医学术语承载的社会文化心理。西方医学深受古希腊和古罗马文化影响,英语医学术语大部分源自希腊、罗马神话。英语医学术语对外来语的大量借用,反映出英语民族的"开放型"文化心理。汉语医学术语与中国古代文化渊源相通,其完整独特的医药文化限制了对外来医学词语的借用,是汉民族长期以来自我中心意识和"封闭型"文化心理的具体体现。通过英汉医学术语对比说明语言作为重要的文化现象,必然受到民族文化心理的制约和影响。

Based on a contrast of cultural origin, cultural borrowing and cultural Mentality, this paper attempts to analyze the difference of medical terms between English and Chinese from a Socio - Cultural Mentality Perspective. Language, as the carrier of culture, inevitably bears the imprints of the social - cultural Mentality of the nation that uses it. Through the contrast between English and Chinese medical terms in this way, it is of great significance for us to learn about medical humanities, promote the communication between China and Western countries, and provide a different angle of view for comparative linguistics in medical language fields.
