A Study on the Desire and Action for Employment by the Elderly

摘要 本文利用2006年中国城乡老年人口状况追踪调查城市问卷的相关数据,对老年人的就业意愿与就业行为进行分析。通过对性别、年龄、文化程度、退休前的单位性质、经济条件自评等因素与老年人就业意愿、就业行为进行相关分析,考察这些因素与老年人就业意愿与就业行为的相关性。结果显示,老年人的性别、年龄、文化程度、退休前单位性质与他们的就业意愿显著相关,性别、退休前的单位性质及就业意愿显著影响其就业行为。文化程度对老年人就业行为没有明显的相关性。 This paper focuses on a study of the employment desire and action by the elderly based on the da- ta from a tracking survey of the urban and rural elderly population in China carried out in 2006. With an analysis of the gender, age, educational level, the working organization before retirement, economic condition, and the like, it intends to find out the correlation between the elderly peopleg desire and action of employment and these factors. The results show that gender, age, education, the working organization before retirement have significant correlation to the elderly employment desire; while the factors of gender, the working organization before retire- ment and employment desire influence on their employment action strongly. However, education level does not have much to do with the elderly employment action.
