Delay of gratification is an important indicator of the self-control ability of children. Since age, context and family education are key factors affecting the development of children＇ s ability in the delay of gratification, the cultivation of such kind of ability of children should be based on the characteristics of the age of children and devel- op children＇s independence in the concerted efforts from both family and society to get rid of mental dependence and develop their delay strategies.
