Prior to the establishment of the discipline of history science,studying the history of science had already become a vogue in Europe which led to the publication of numerous books on history of science.As one of the centres for the history of science,the United Kingdom has a long tradition as well as an excellent academic ability of studying the history of science.This paper intends to overview the academic institutions,societies,journals,funding organizations and studies on British history of science,aiming to provide a foundation for further studies.
