Narrative Record of the Archaeological Investigation of Zhangqian's Tomb

本文记述了1938年西北联大对张骞墓及墓前石兽的调查发掘,通过发掘出土的汉代石兽、似封泥印字纹陶片、五铢钱等文物,证实了传说中张骞墓的真实性,同时也基本了解了张骞墓的墓葬形制。

This article is a narrative record of the investigation of ZhangQiarts tomb and affiliated stone animal sculptures in front of the burial conducted by Northwest Union University in 1938. Materials from excavation, such as stone animal sculptures in the Han dynasty, sherds with stamped characters, Wuzhu coins, etc. confirmed that this burial should be- long to ZhangQian＇s tomb. Meanwhile, this investigation also helped to figure out the shape and form of this burial.
